Kick off the new year with the 9th Annual DC Black History Film Festival, a celebration of cinematic excellence and cultural storytelling at The Historic Lincoln Theater on Friday, February 28, from 5 PM to midnight. Hosted by acclaimed actor Lamman Rucker, this prestigious event will feature special performances from students of the Duke Ellington School of the Arts, enhancing the festival’s vibrant atmosphere. Out of 134 submissions, 11 standout films have been selected to showcase the diversity and richness of Black narratives on screen.
