Hosted by acclaimed actor Lamman Rucker, this prestigious event will feature special performances from students of the Duke Ellington School of the Arts, enhancing the festival’s vibrant atmosphere. Out of 134 submissions, 11 standout films have been selected to showcase the diversity and richness of Black narratives on screen. The anticipation builds as the final film line-up is set to be announced on February 1st, marking the beginning of Black History Month. With the festival’s strong community and industry support, the event promises to be an inspiring tribute to the filmmakers and the stories at the heart of Black history and culture.
